I don't think its THAT weird. There seems to be some logic stated by a couple other women on that site. Admittedly it does seem a little shocking to see someone who is obviously not the mother breastfeeding a child that is obviously not hers. What I think is the best part is that the woman was ballsy enough to hang out and continue observing. Who does that? But I thank her for sharing this moment with us to think about and discuss.
Nothing wrong with it. Wet nursing is older than written history.
She cares for the little one; what could be more comforting?

Seems like whoever wrote in is way disturbed by breastfeeding in general. Maybe this is a job for Jezebel.

If the parents don't know *and* they are uptight douchebags, then there is a problem.
She's not harming the kid. She's not molesting the kid.
You have a problem. Neither she nor the kid do. But I would agree that if you have that problem, then it would become her problem. She'd get fired. Oh well.
Backtracking a bit, I wouldn't want to label anyone who is squeamish about breastfeeding as a douch bag.
But it is a hang up, pure and simple. There's nothing wrong with it.
All things considered, the nanny should clear it with the parents first because a lot of people have hang ups like this.
They'll let junior drink milk from any old bloated cow full of hormones, but perish the thought that he'd suck on a tit other than his momma's before high school.
ok, who says that the white baby isn't the child of the nanny? just because a baby looks white, doesn't mean it is completely. Just because there's a black woman in the park with two children doesn't necessarily mean she's the NANNY--she could be the mommy.
