man, this is like the kind of writing that makes me yearn for the old days.

Really deep - I don't know that I agree 100% that that's what Krs one was saying - I mean, he doesn't really blame an ARCHITECT - he just blames the ARCHITECTURE.

Anyway, thanks for the thinking man's material.

"There’s no single mastermind of any global conspiracy. There are just patterns that take place because of human behavior and the laws of economics and sociology - if you believe in evolution, think of it that way because it’s the same exact thing: Design without a designer."

-Brilliant. There's shit that happens in the world but believing it's some evil man behind the curtain who has a vested interest in consolidating power and advocating opression is just shifting the blame. Did you vote? Are you an advocate at your state and local level for the policies you believe in? Then shut up and eat your undercooked burger and cold french fries. Myself, I'll be drinking a melted smoothie.

"Believing in an evil conspiracy mastermind is like believing in creationism."

Welcome back - this kind of shit is your Illmatic flow.

Yup, that's a solid pure blognigger post and I'm floored by it. The evolution parallel in thinking is particularly deft.

Damn I miss the days of the daily blognigger dose; though I am glad that he has been restored to sanity (or whatever) but dialing it all back.

One problem though (for me) I always thought KRS-1 was a dick; I have never wavered from that assessment of him. So, when I hear him (though his cadence and his wonderful, assured gestures and plain bat-shit-batty eyes are madly charismatic) I always just think "shut the fuck up, dickhead".

Hey BN, nice post.

I have lived in Arlington, VA since 1992. On Sep11, my wife had to walk out of downtown Washington, across the Potomac, to get home. We didn't know what the fuck was going down, but (like so many other people) we had to face the possibility that day that we were going to die that day in some sort of "attack on Washington"

I have never been able to understand how an airliner could fly into DC airspace like that and not be shot down. One Patriot missile battery could have taken out the plane in short order, and I hope to shit that we have at least something that qualifies as an anti-aircraft defense system protecting Bolling Air Force Base. F16's be damned.

Anyway, that's my own hang-up. Not that an airliner didn't hit the Pentagon, but that we couldn't/didn't stop it. How many Cessna's do you have to land on the White House lawn before someone spends a billion dollars to put a radar sweeper on top of the Washington monument? Or how many Tom Clancy Novels do you have to read for that matter.

Anywho - I know how enticing conspiracy theory's are. I watched every episode of the god damn X-files. And I know that the human brain is programed to find patterns, even when there aren't any. I would love to believe that SOMEONE is responsible for all this shit because the alternative is possibly more terrifying. But, living in the DC area has solidified in me one conviction: There is no "them".

America is government of, for, and by the people. Which generally means that our government is just as flawed and foolish, brave and brilliant, as we are en masse. Once you've seen Caspar Weinberger picking out melons at the grocery store, just like the crazy homeless "Do you have a dollar?" lady, it affects your perspective.

I have no doubt that Obama is not all he seems. He might even be a pawn of the Venetian Oligarchies. I don't care. America elected a black man for president. If I'm going to be ruled by banker overlords anyway, at least I got to see a black president. For a white liberal kid who grew up in Alabama, that's golden.

Ralph Waldo Emerson said that the history of mankind can be found written in the life of every man, and vice versa. I don't know how that applies exactly. Maybe that's just another way of restating my conviction: There is no "them".

And that conviction equates to disrespecting MY dad.

For the record, I think that video is just Larouchen tripe.

Keep up the good fight.
